Homo Deus

(Part 11 in the Mystery Babylon Series)

“For 300 years the world has been dominated by humanism, which sanctifies the life, happiness and power of Homo sapiens. The attempt to gain immortality, bliss and divinity merely takes the long-standing humanist ideals to their logical conclusion. It places openly on the table what we have for a long time kept hidden under our napkin. (Harari, Yuval Noah. Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (p. 65). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)

The Return to Eden
You know it seems to me, that we as Christians are often the last to appreciate just how prescient the Bible is when it comes to describing the future of mankind. In the quote above, Yuval Harari, bestselling Israeli professor of history, describes a 300 year old reality that most Christians today are still oblivious to, namely that humanism is, and has been for several centuries now, the hidden force guiding mankind towards the ancient promise of immortality.

If you’ve read the articles in this series on Mystery Babylon then you know I’ve made the case that the seed for this enticingly deceptive religious philosophy, which the Bible calls Mystery Babylon, was planted in the garden of Eden by the serpent (Satan), and that in fact, this ancient promise by Satan was the origin of what we now know as humanism. In Edenic terms, humanism is the idea that mankind can attain godhood by their own efforts and that these efforts are not constrained by the One who created us.

As Mr. Harari proudly admits humanism’s true goal is no longer hidden under the napkin of intellectualism and science, the humanist stands triumphantly, if not prematurely upon the pyramid of human endeavor, proudly proclaiming the death of God and the enthronement of mankind as Homo Deus – god men.

Mr. Harari explains:

Success breeds ambition, and our recent achievements are now pushing humankind to set itself even more daring goals. Having secured unprecedented levels of prosperity, health and harmony, and given our past record and our current values, humanity’s next targets are likely to be immortality, happiness and divinity. (Harari, Yuval Noah. Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (pp. 20-21). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)

While the humanist sees that their long sought after goal of divinity is now within the reach, it would be good to remember that the Bible tells of a similar expectation which was held by our Edenic ancestors when they reached for the same forbidden fruit. The result of their misguided effort condemned mankind to a life of trouble, toil, and eventual death.

Did you know that the apostle Paul talked about this very subject in his epistle to the Romans? Here is how Paul described mankind turning the truth of God into a lie and some of the consequences of those actions. Notice also how Paul reverses the order of this “natural” evolution.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,

and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:20-25)

Prettying amazing, don’t you think, that nearly 2000 years before secular humanism and its theory of evolution became the dominate religion of our world, the apostle Paul described the path which leads mankind to this world view. It starts by an unthankfullness towards God and rejection of the evidence for Him in the created world around us. This leads to a blindness and vanity which then leads to the worship of the world around us instead of the One who created that amazing world. The natural evolution of this line of reasoning then sees mankind as pinnacle of this natural world.

Not only did the Bible tell us that Satan deceived mankind with the promise of humanist enlightenment but the Bible also follows that thread of deception as it traces its destructive path through the Biblical ages. In Babel, that humanist pride and rebellion took the form of a tower, whose top they hoped (physically or symbolically) might reach to heaven (the dwelling place of God). Centuries later another king of Babylon stood atop a palace built on ruins of ancient Babel and proudly declared the greatness of his efforts in rebuilding that ancient city.

But the Bible doesn’t just tell the past history of Satan’s enticing lie which mankind has nurtured through the millennia, but it tells us of a day when Satan’s original lie will be resurrected in its final form – Homo Deus. As you read these words, keep in mind the future context Paul is describing here, that period of time just preceding the 2nd coming of Yeshua.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity [lawlessness] doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [see Roman’s 1:20-25 above] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)

In this series of articles on Mystery Babylon we’ve looked at one of the most influential faces of Mystery Babylon and its religion of humanism, namely Freemasonry. In the articles Conspiracies of the Harlot and Symbols of the Harlot we’ve seen the symbols and actions of Freemasonry and how they have profoundly influenced the course of American history.

One last time I’d like to use the symbols of Freemasonry to illustrate how the humanist sees religious faiths other than its own. Consider the following picture.
This picture shows an altar which sitting in the Temple Chamber at the center of the House of the Temple. As we learned in Symbols of the Harlot this temple is built upon a piece of land which symbolically portrays Masonry as the capstone of the most powerful city that has ever existed in the history of the world, namely Washington D.C. On the crown molding surrounding this Temple Chamber are the words:

“From the outer darkness of ignorance through the shadows of our earth life winds the beautiful path of initiation unto the divine light of the holy altar.”

As you can see from the picture, on that black marble altar rests four books. These books represent four of the main religious faiths of this world. The books are: the Holy Bible, the Jewish Torah, the Koran, and the Hindu Bhagavad Gita.
Inscribed around the altar are the words:

FROM THE LIGHT OF THE DIVINE WORD, THE LOGOS, COMES THE WISDOM OF LIFE AND THE GOAL OF INITIATION.

In other words, according to the humanist philosophy of Freemasonry all faiths eventually lead to the enlightenment of mankind and the goal of Initiation, that is: the deification of man – Homo Deus. So next time someone tells you that all religious paths lead to god (man as god) I hope you’ll understand what the humanists are really saying. To drive this point home, once again here are a few quotes from influential Masons describing their humanist world view:

“The dunces [apostles] who led primitive Christianity astray, by substituting faith for science, reverie for experience, the fantastic for reality… have succeeded in shrouding in darkness the ancient discoveries of the human mind.” (33 degree Freemason Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma p. 732)

Masonry directs us to divest ourselves of confined and bigoted notions [Christianity], and teaches us, that Humanity is the soul of Religion. We never suffer any religious disputes in our Lodges, and, as Masons, we only pursue the universal religion, the Religion, of Nature. (William J. Hutchinson (1732-1814) Mastor of the Concord Masonic Lodge.)

“The only personal god Freemasonry accepts is humanity in total. God, the Great Architect of the Universe, personifies himself through man. Humanity, therefore, is the only personal god there is.” (Mystic Masonry, by 33 degree Freemason Dr. J. D. Buck (1838-1916)

“Freemasonry has taught each man can, by himself work out his own conception of God and thereby achieve salvation” (Freemasonry: Its Aims and Ideals by J. S. M. Ward, p. 187)

“The keynote of Masonic religious thinking is naturalism which sees all life and thought as ever developing and evolutionary…The Bible is not today what it once was. Current higher criticism has made obsolete the idea that the Bible is a unique revelation of supernatural truth.” (Fisher, p.57) (33rd degree Mason Leonard A. Wenz who wrote for Freemasonry’s New Age magazine in February, 1968.)

“Man is God in the making” (33 degree Freemason Manley P. Hall, Lost Keys of Freemasonry p. 92)

In light of these quotes once more consider the words of the apostle Paul as he describes the anti-Christ and his religious world view in the period of time leading up to the return of Yeshua.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

God is Dead – Long Live Homo Deus!
How many of you remember The Lost Symbol written by Dan Brown? Towards the end of the movie Peter Langdon (the hero) learns that masonry believes the Bible is really an allegory that provides hidden instructions for the deification of mankind. It should come as little surprise then that the final scenes in The Lost Symbol takes place in the Temple Room of the Masonic House of the Temple in Washington, D.C., where that deification of mankind is symbolized. (pictured above)

Now Dan Brown is out with a new book which takes his series to its logical conclusion asking the rhetorical question, “Will God survive science?” At a recent promotional event for his latest book Origin, Mr. Brown made some rather interesting comments which illustrate the zealousness with which he has become an evangelist for the humanist world view:

“Christianity, Judaism and Islam all share a gospel, loosely, and it’s important that we all realise that,” he said. “Our religions are much more similar than they are different.” – Dan Brown (https://www.yahoo.com/news/collective-consciousness-replace-god-author-dan-brown-120033225.html)

“We will start to find our spiritual experiences through our interconnections with each other,”… “some form of global consciousness that we perceive and that becomes our divine”.

“Our need for that exterior god, that sits up there and judges us … will diminish and eventually disappear.” – Dan Brown (https://www.yahoo.com/news/collective-consciousness-replace-god-author-dan-brown-120033225.html)

Pretty bold statement don’t you think? Unfortunately Mr. Brown is not the exception but rather one of many making these claims which take humanism to its natural conclusion. This enticing religious world views is taking the world by storm right now and it should not be ignored.

By the way, how many of you noticed the symbol of the Harlot on the cover of Mr. Browns book? If you’ve read the articles in the series you should recognize its Edenic origins. (excuse the pun)

As a final quote consider Professor Harari’s rather sobering view of the subject:

How about radical Islam, then? Or fundamentalist Christianity, messianic Judaism or revivalist Hinduism? Whereas the Chinese don’t know what they believe, religious fundamentalists know only too well. More than a century after Nietzsche pronounced Him dead, God seems to be making a comeback.

But this is a mirage. God is dead – it’s just taking a while to get rid of the body. (Harari, Yuval Noah. Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (p. 268). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)

And every technical problem has a technical solution. We don’t need to wait for the Second Coming in order to overcome death. A couple of geeks in a lab can do it. If traditionally death was the specialty of priests and theologians, now the engineers are taking over. (Harari, Yuval Noah. Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (p23). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.)

Battle of the Gods
In this series I hope I’ve given you a Biblical foundation to better understand the religion of Mystery Babylon and Satan’s plan to usurp YHWH’s authority on this earth. Humanism, the mother of all religious harlotry, has come to maturity in our generation. Mankind is convinced that immortality lies within our grasp and that God is either dead or no longer relevant to our plans.

Do you realize what this means? It means that our generation will likely witness the resolution of these two divergent paths. Humanism, its god Homo Deus, and its agent Satan, are on a collision course with YHWH, the living God of the Bible and His redemptive plan for mankind through Yeshua. The Bible has predicted these events and their resolution thousands of years ago.

As this Biblical drama unfolds I implore you not to be distracted by well-meaning but misguided efforts to identity Mystery Babylon with one of its many sectarian daughters. If you are looking for an Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, or Atheist Antichrist you are going to be blindsided by the conspiracy of Satan as revealed in Homo Deus.

No matter how seductive the humanist promise of divinity becomes over the next few years, I encourage each of you to stand fast in the promises of YHWH’s word. We are so close to the finish line, don’t sacrifice your victory in Yeshua, for a 6000 year old lie.

    William, thank you!

Amazing! Just finished Floodgates by Parsons. When you overlay Humanism going back to the garden with Parsons clear explanations of the three tracks of 20th century mankind (Darwinism / Zionism / Pentecostalism) it is overwhelmingly convincing to me that we have been blessed to be placed on the right track in this hour.

Deception is such that you can’t know we are being deceived. So personal study is critical in this hour of immense noise and distraction. Only a true desire and prayer for truth to be revealed, above all other purposes and approvals in our lives can keep us on the straight and narrow in this rapidly decaying and darkening hour.

Can’t wait to read Homo Deus. Thanks for your hard work. It is enlightening to me to study alongside your work and see where it has taken me.

So we’ll done. I appreciate your diligence and sharing.

Hello William, thank you for sharing your insights. I found your page by searching for the words “Noah Harari & Antichrist”. I recently bumped into a rather intriguing “coincidence” that might be of interest to you too. There is a novel from a Russian writer by the name of Wladimir Solowjew from 1899 (long before modern developments became obvious) with the title “A Story Of Anti-Christ”, where the Antichrist is described (fictisously, but maybe prophetically) as a person who had already gained some fame with TWO BOOKS which he had written before he was revealed as the endtime ruler. Shortly after I had read that novel, I came across an article in a conservative Swiss News Magazine about Harari and could hardly believe what I learned: A secular homosexual Jew with a very outspoken view on the future of man which could be described as nothing but antichrist! At that time he had just published TWO BOOKS which had become world bestsellers in a matter of only a few years.
Now, I hope you know what I mean: I’m not saying that he is the Antichrist – I just found the similarity very interesting. I can recommend the rather small book by Solowjew (if you not already have it); it is available in English through Amazon; just look for “A Story Of Anti-Christ”.
    Sincerely, Manfred from Switzerland
